Description
A quick and tasty meal that captures all the flavors of a traditional egg roll without the hassle of rolling and frying. Perfect for busy weeknights!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground sausage
- 4 cups coleslaw mix
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Soft-boiled or scrambled eggs (optional, for serving)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, cook the ground sausage over medium heat until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Add the minced garlic and ginger, cooking until fragrant (about 1 minute).
- Stir in the coleslaw mix and soy sauce, cooking until the cabbage is tender (about 3-5 minutes).
- Drizzle with sesame oil and mix well. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
- Serve hot, topped with sliced green onions and optional eggs.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding a splash of rice vinegar or sriracha. Choose a sausage that suits your taste—spicy, mild, or even turkey sausage works well.
