- 1 cup semolina
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup yogurt
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
- Mix semolina, all-purpose flour, sugar, turmeric powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
- Combine yogurt, vegetable oil, milk, and vanilla extract in another bowl.
- Gradually mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before serving.
Notes
For a crunchy variation, add chopped pistachios or almonds on top before baking. Serve with yogurt or honey.
