Description
A bright blue drink that turns pink when lemon is added, made with butterfly pea flowers for a fun, colorful twist.
Ingredients

- Handful of butterfly blue pea flowers
- 1 cup brown sugar (or natural sweetener)
- 1 cup boiling water
- 2 cups room temperature filtered water
- Juice of 1–2 lemons
- Ice for serving
Instructions
- Boil 1 cup of water in a pot and steep the butterfly pea flowers for 5 minutes. Strain the tea.
- Dissolve brown sugar in warm water (if using) and mix with the blue tea.
- Stir in 2 cups of room temperature water and optionally add lavender extract.
- Fill glasses with ice, pour the blue lemonade over, and add lemon juice to see the color change.
Notes
Serve in clear glasses to show the color change. Garnish with a lemon slice or pea flowers for a decorative touch.
