Steak in Creamy Cajun Shrimp Sauce

A delightful dish combining rich steak flavors with spicy Cajun shrimp in a creamy sauce, perfect for special occasions.

  • 1 lb steak (ribeye or filet mignon)
  • 1 lb large or jumbo shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the steak with salt and pepper; let rest.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat; sear steaks for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare. Remove and let rest.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté garlic until fragrant, add shrimp and cook until pink. Stir in heavy cream and chicken broth; simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Slice the steaks, serve topped with the creamy Cajun shrimp sauce, and garnish with parsley.

Notes

For an extra flavor boost, marinate shrimp in Cajun seasoning for 15-30 minutes before cooking. Pair with rice or crusty bread.
