Description
A delicious dish pairing juicy steak with a rich, spicy shrimp cream sauce, perfect for weeknights or small dinner parties.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb steak (ribeye or filet mignon)
- 1 lb large or jumbo shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Season steak with salt and pepper; let rest.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat; sear steaks for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare. Remove and let rest.
- In the same skillet, sauté garlic until fragrant, add shrimp and cook until pink. Stir in heavy cream and chicken broth; simmer for 5 minutes.
- Slice steaks, serve topped with creamy Cajun shrimp sauce, and garnish with parsley.
Notes
Pat steak dry before seasoning for a good sear. Do not overcook the shrimp; they should remain tender. Maintain medium heat when adding cream to prevent boiling.
