Description

A delicious dish pairing juicy steak with a rich, spicy shrimp cream sauce, perfect for weeknights or small dinner parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb steak (ribeye or filet mignon)
  • 1 lb large or jumbo shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season steak with salt and pepper; let rest.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat; sear steaks for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare. Remove and let rest.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté garlic until fragrant, add shrimp and cook until pink. Stir in heavy cream and chicken broth; simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Slice steaks, serve topped with creamy Cajun shrimp sauce, and garnish with parsley.

Notes

Pat steak dry before seasoning for a good sear. Do not overcook the shrimp; they should remain tender. Maintain medium heat when adding cream to prevent boiling.
