- 1 pound fresh green beans
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 slices bacon
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Wash and trim the fresh green beans.
- In a skillet, cook the bacon until crispy, then remove and crumble.
- In the bacon drippings, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Add the green beans to the skillet and toss to coat with the garlic and bacon drippings.
- Season with salt and black pepper.
- Cook for about 5-7 minutes until the green beans are tender but still crisp.
- Stir in the crumbled bacon before serving.
Notes
For a vegetarian version, omit the bacon and sauté the garlic in olive oil. Add a dash of lemon juice before serving for extra flavor.
