Description

Easy and flavorful green beans inspired by Texas Roadhouse, cooked with garlic and crispy bacon.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound fresh green beans
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 slices bacon
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Wash and trim the fresh green beans.
  2. In a skillet, cook the bacon until crispy, then remove and crumble.
  3. In the bacon drippings, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  4. Add the green beans to the skillet and toss to coat with the garlic and bacon drippings.
  5. Season with salt and black pepper.
  6. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until the green beans are tender but still crisp.
  7. Stir in the crumbled bacon before serving.

Notes

For a vegetarian version, omit the bacon and sauté the garlic in olive oil. Add a dash of lemon juice before serving for extra flavor.
