Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 2 cups fresh Thai basil leaves
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup snap peas
  • 1 green onion, chopped
  • Cooked rice for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add the ground turkey, cooking until browned and cooked through.
  4. Stir in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce, and sugar.
  5. Add the sliced bell pepper and snap peas, cooking for another 3-5 minutes until veggies are tender-crisp.
  6. Stir in the Thai basil leaves and green onions just before serving.
  7. Serve over cooked rice.

Notes

For best flavor, use fresh Thai basil. Serve hot over steamed rice with lime wedges for an added zest.
