A creamy and filling lasagna using cottage cheese instead of ricotta, perfect for family meals.
Ingredients

- 1 pound ground meat (beef, turkey, or sausage)
- 2 cups cottage cheese
- 3 cups marinara sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, cook the ground meat over medium heat until browned; drain excess fat.
- Stir in the marinara sauce and Italian seasoning, then let it simmer for 5 minutes.
- In a baking dish, spread a layer of the meat mixture, then add a layer of cottage cheese, followed by a layer of mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, ending with mozzarella cheese on top.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Use lean ground meat to reduce grease and press the cottage cheese slightly when layering for even distribution.
