Ingredients

- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup fresh lemon juice
- 4 cups water
- Ice
- Optional: Your favorite spirit for cocktails
Instructions
- Combine 1 cup of fresh blueberries, 1 cup of sugar, and 1 cup of water in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
- Reduce heat and let it simmer for about 10 minutes until the blueberries burst and the syrup thickens.
- Strain the syrup through a fine sieve and let it cool.
- Mix the blueberry syrup with 1 cup of fresh lemon juice and 4 cups of water in a large pitcher. Stir well.
- Serve over ice and add your favorite spirit for an adult cocktail, if desired.
Notes
To make the sweetest drink, feel free to add more sugar during syrup preparation. For a fizzy twist, add a splash of sparkling water just before serving.
