Description

Ingredients

- 2 Ceylon cinnamon sticks
- 4 cups filtered water
- Optional: 1 slice of fresh lemon
- Optional: 1/2 teaspoon raw honey
Instructions
- Step 1: Boil Water – Pour 4 cups of filtered water into a small pot and bring it to a rolling boil.
- Step 2: Add Spice – Place the cinnamon sticks into the boiling water carefully to avoid splashing.
- Step 3: Simmer Liquid – Reduce the heat to low and let the cinnamon sticks simmer for 10 minutes until the water turns a warm amber color.
- Step 4: Steep Mixture – Remove the pot from the heat and allow the water to steep for another 5 to 10 minutes to maximize antioxidant release.
- Step 5: Strain – Use a fine-mesh strainer or tongs to remove the cinnamon sticks from the liquid.
- Step 6: Serve – Pour into a glass and enjoy warm, or let it cool completely and refrigerate for a chilled wellness drink.
Notes
Using Ceylon cinnamon (True Cinnamon) is recommended for daily consumption as it contains lower levels of coumarin compared to Cassia cinnamon.
