Instructions
- Step 1: Boil Water – Bring filtered water to a rolling boil using a kettle.
- Step 2: Cool Water – Allow the water to sit for 3 minutes to reach a lukewarm temperature to protect honey bioactives.
- Step 3: Steep Tea – Place the green tea bag and ginger slice in a mug and pour the warm water over them.
- Step 4: Infuse – Let the tea and ginger steep for 3 to 5 minutes to release polyphenols.
- Step 5: Incorporate Honey – Stir in the Manuka honey until it is fully dissolved into the liquid.
- Step 6: Add Citrus – Squeeze in the fresh lemon juice to enhance the bioavailability of the tea antioxidants.
- Step 7: Season – Dust the top with a pinch of cinnamon for additional blood sugar support.

Ensure the water is not boiling when adding the honey, as high heat can destroy the delicate enzymes and bioactive compounds like methylglyoxal (MGO).
