- 1 loaf of gluten-free bread, cubed
- 1 cup of vegetable broth
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 celery stalks, diced
- 2 teaspoons of dried sage
- 1 teaspoon of dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1/4 cup of melted butter or dairy-free butter
- 2 eggs, beaten (optional for binding)
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Begin by preparing your gluten-free bread. Cut it into small cubes and allow it to dry out overnight or toast it in the oven for a few minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine the bread cubes, diced onion, diced celery, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix everything together well.
- Pour the vegetable broth and melted butter over the bread mixture. If using eggs, add them here as well. Stir until the bread is evenly moistened.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased crock pot. Spread it out evenly.
- Cover and cook on low for 240-360 minutes or until the stuffing is hot and has absorbed flavors.
- Before serving, fluff the stuffing with a fork and sprinkle with fresh parsley for garnish.
