A refreshing drink that combines the sweetness of strawberries with the tartness of lemons, perfect for hot summer days.


Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • 1 Cup Water
  • 2 Cups Strawberries
  • 1 1/2 Cups Lemon Juice (about six lemons juiced)
  • 6 Cups Cold Water

Instructions

  1. Start by making a simple syrup. In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of water. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar fully dissolves. Remove from heat and let it cool.
  2. While the syrup cools, wash and hull the strawberries. Blend them in a blender or food processor until smooth.
  3. In a large pitcher, combine the cooled syrup, processed strawberries, and 1 1/2 cups of lemon juice.
  4. Add 6 cups of cold water to the mixture. Stir well to combine all ingredients.
  5. Taste your lemonade and adjust the sweetness by adding more syrup if desired.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a stronger strawberry flavor, consider using frozen strawberries instead of fresh ones; they can be just as flavorful.
