Pumpkin French Toast

A delicious twist on a classic breakfast dish, featuring pumpkin puree and warm spices for a comforting meal.

  • 4 slices of bread
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • Butter or oil for cooking
  • Maple syrup (for serving)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the pumpkin puree, eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and sugar until well combined.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add butter or oil.
  3. Dip each slice of bread into the pumpkin mixture, allowing it to soak for a few seconds on each side.
  4. Place the soaked bread slices onto the skillet and cook until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  5. Serve warm with maple syrup.

Notes

Use thick slices of bread for best texture. Experiment with different types of bread for a richer flavor.
