Description

A savory and comforting Southern dish featuring juicy beef patties simmered in a rich gravy.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl. Form into patties.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side until browned. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. Add sliced onions and mushrooms to the same skillet and sauté until softened.
  4. Stir in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, bringing it to a simmer. Return the burger patties back to the skillet.
  5. Cover and cook for another 10 minutes, allowing the gravy to thicken.
  6. Serve with mashed potatoes or rice, garnished with chopped parsley.
