- 1 whole chicken
- 1/2 cup compound herb butter (made with herbs, garlic, and butter)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Prepare the compound herb butter by mixing softened butter with minced garlic and your choice of herbs.
- Carefully inject the herb butter into the chicken, targeting the fat pockets.
- Season the outside of the chicken with salt and pepper.
- Preheat your air fryer following the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Place the chicken in the air fryer and cook according to the air fryer settings, usually around 25-30 minutes at 375°F (190°C), or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Let the chicken rest before carving.

Notes
Use a mix of herbs for the compound butter. If you don’t have a syringe, spoon the butter under the skin carefully.
