- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 4 cups hot water (from faucet, not boiling)
- 3/4 cup fresh lemon juice (reserve peel from one juiced lemon)
Instructions
- Puree watermelon in a blender, then strain through a fine mesh strainer. Set aside the juice and discard the pulp.
- Combine sugar and hot water in a pitcher. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
- Stir fresh lemon juice into the sugar-water mixture.
- Thinly slice the reserved lemon peel, then add it to the pitcher.
- Add the watermelon juice and mix well.
- Serve immediately over ice or chill until ready to drink. Enjoy!
